Creamy Chocolate Fudge (Best Ever!)

0.0 from 0 votes

Creamy chocolate fudge is a rich, smooth confection with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and deep, sweet flavor. Made by blending chocolate, sugar, butter, and evaporated milk into a velvety base, it sets into soft, dense squares that are indulgent without being grainy. Each bite is luxuriously sweet and silky.

I’ve been making this creamy fudge recipe for so long that I don’t remember where I first got the recipe. All I know is that I’ve tried many other recipes and always come back to this one because it is always creamy and delicious. There are a lot of recipes that use marshmallow cream, but mine uses actual marshmallows. And when it comes to adding nuts, I prefer pecans over walnuts. Walnuts tend to have a stronger flavor and I want nuts that enhance and don’t take over.

Why You’ll Love This Creamy Fudge Recipe

  • It’s easy to make.
  • It always turns out creamy not sugary.
  • Only 7 ingredients.
  • You family and friends will rave about it.
  • Makes great gifts.

Helpful Hints

This recipe requires boiling some of the ingredients in order to reach that candy stage. Marshmallows, granulated sugar, water and evaporated milk are brought to a boil. Then, gently boiled for exactly 10 minutes, while stirring constantly. Be sure to use a large stock pot and a wooden spoon with a long handle, because once the marshmallows melt and begin to boil, the ingredients expand significantly.

Ingredients

  • 10 regular 10 marshmallows

  • 2 cups 2 granulated sugar

  • 1 can (12 ounce) 1 evaporated milk

  • 1 Tablespoon 1 water

  • 1 1/2 package (18 ounces) 1 1/2 semi sweet chocolate chips (about 3 cups)

  • 1 stick (8 Tbls.) 1 butter, cubed

  • 1 teaspoon 1 vanilla extract

  • 1 cup 1 nuts, chopped (walnut or pecan)

Directions

  • Line a 9×9 inch pan with foil. Spray the foil with cooking spray to make it easier to cut the fudge into pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chocolate chips, butter (cubed), vanilla and chopped nuts. Set aside.
  • In a large stock pot, over medium high heat, bring the marshmallows, sugar, water, and milk to a boil. Once boiling reduce heat to a gentle boil. Set timer, and cook stirring constantly for exactly 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and pour over ingredients in large bowl. Stir to combine.
  • Pour into a buttered (greased) 9×9 inch pan. Chill to harden. Remove from fridge 5 minutes before serving to cut into pieces.
