Ingredients

  • Sticky Garlic Soy Glaze
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 soy sauce

  • 4 Tablespoons 4 oyster sauce

  • 4 Tablespoons 4 hoisin sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons 2 brown sugar lightly packed or honey

  • 2 Tablespoons 2 rice vinegar or lime juice

  • 2 teaspoons 2 sesame oil

  • 1 Tablespoon 1 Sriracha sauce (for a little spice)

  • 2 teaspoons 2 cornstarch mixed with 4 T water (for thickening if needed)

  • Stir Fry
  • 8 ounce 8 noodles (ramen, rice, lo mein, or spaghetti)

  • 1 1/2 pound 1 1/2 beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

  • 2 Tablespoons 2 avocado oil, divided

  • 4 cups 4 fresh mixed vegetables (sweet bell pepper, carrots, snap peas, broccoli, or your choice)

  • 6 cloves 6 garlic, minced

  • 2 Tablespoons 2 ginger, grated

  • Garnish
  • 3-4 3-4 green onions, sliced

  • sesame seeds

Directions

  • Combine sticky garlic soy glaze ingredients and set aside.
  • Cut beef thinly against the grain and set aside.
  • Prepare vegetables, garlic and ginger.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain, rinse in cool water and set aside.
  • While noodles are cooking, heat 1 Tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.beef cooking in wok
  • In the same pan, add another Tablespoon of oil. Add garlic, ginger, and mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until veggies are crisp tender.veggies in wok
  • Pour the garlic soy glaze into the pan and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce slightly.
  • Add the cooked noodles and beef to the pan. Toss everything until evenly coated in the sticky glaze.
  • Garnish and serve topped with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Oil: I like to use avocado oil because it can tolerate high heat that’s typically used for stir fry.
